With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John S. Thomas of Negaunee, Michigan, born in Ishpeming, Michigan, who passed away on May 2, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Ellen Thomas (Kreitmeyer); and his daughter Renee Thomas. He is survived by: his son John 'JT' Thomas (Wendi); his stepchildren, Karin, Kirsten Lyke and Steve Lyke; his grandchildren, Haley and Tyler Thomas (Nicole Tierney); his stepgrandchildren, Jonah, Stephanie and Magena; and his siblings, James Thomas (Marilyn), Robert Thomas (Nita), Richard Thomas (Barbie), Jane Nordeen and Sally Mitchell (Archie). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
