He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Donald Taskila and Elizabeth 'Peggy' Taskila (Heath); his wife Trudy Taskila; his sons, Kevin Taskila (Michelle) of Negaunee, Kirk Taskila of Lansing and Kristopher Taskila (Kari) of Ramsey; his grandchildren, Todd Taskila (MaLynda), Chelsea Marta (Jeff) and Marissa Taskila; his great grandchildren, Tucker, Tia, Bo, Joey and Lily; and his siblings, Philip, Howard (Judy), Gene Taskila (Patsy) and Donna Jarvi (Mike). He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
