Dorothy L. Seppanen Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy L. Seppanen of Negaunee, Michigan, born in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, who passed away on April 2, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John A. Seppanen; her siblings, Rose Marie Heimburger (Francis), Robert (Barbara) and Jim Malaska; her sister-in-law Ruth Malaska; and her son-in-law Francis Dompierre.
She is survived by: her children, Cecelia Dompierre of Marquette, Regina Bergh of Montana, Greg Seppanen (Carol Henry) of Marquette and Dennis Seppanen (Julie) of Florida; her grandchildren, Renee Wiczorek (Glen), Erika Kaler (Anna) of Amanda Treloar, CJ and Britney Benz (Bryan); and her close friend Peggy Bergman. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a longtime volunteer with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), the Negaunee Senior Center, Lakeview School, Eastwood Nursing Center, and many others.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed in Dorothy's memory to the Negaunee Senior Center.
