With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Mattonen of Negaunee, Michigan, born in Ishpeming, Michigan, who passed away on April 30, 2021 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mattonen and Sadie Mattonen (Maki). He is survived by: his wife Kathleen "Nina" Mattonen (Nevala); his children, John Mattonen (Tammy), Stuart Mattonen (Emiley), Mary Autio (Ted), Lisa Isaacs (Keith) and Susan Anderson (Brent); his grandchildren, Tanja, Travis, Camille (Riley), Anikka (Matt), Ella, Cruz, Maija, Ali, Shanna, Nolan, Ian, Claire and Simone; and his siblings, Marilyn Harju, Shirley Marcotte (Donald) and Ken Mattonen (Jane). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of brothers and sisters.
