With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Lafreniere (Negaunee, Michigan), born in Ishpeming, Michigan, who passed away on September 1, 2019 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary; and his son Kenneth Dale LaFreniere. He is survived by: his children, Fay Hollinshead (Robert, Sr.) of Ishpeming, Lee LaFreniere (Janis) of Ishpeming, Sue Young (Scott) of Marquette, Mary Anne Chadwick of Farmington Hills, Pam Ihamaki (Randy Frost) of Sidnaw, Kathy Sarasin (Stuart) of Marquette, Mark LaFreniere (Shannon) of Marquette and Paul LaFreniere (Toni Penglase) of Ishpeming; his grandchildren, Robert Hollinshead, Jr. (Charlette), Lisa Seelen (Adam), Wade LaFreniere (Lana), Lori Oelhafen (Steven), Cristyn Chadwick (Matt Cave), Whitney Chadwick, Nathan Ihamaki (Amanda), Heather Ihamaki (Allen Brown), Michele Black (Carl), Kyle Sarasin (Jessica), Sydney Sarasin (Jazlyn), Courtney LaFreniere, Brittney Hay (Kent) and Berkley French (Zachary); his great grandchildren, Dalton, Addison, Brady, Taylor, Ethan, Payton, Madelyn and Winifred; his great great grandchildren, Aly, Jaxon, Waylon and Bella; his sister Rita Palomaki (Duane) of Ishpeming; his niece Joy Oslund (David); and his nephew Matthew Palomaki (Angela).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed in Donald's memory to the Eastwood Nursing Center Activity Fund.
