She was predeceased by: her former husband Willie LaForest; her husband Oscar R. Johnson; and her siblings, Gordon Anderson, Dorothy Polyniak, Frances Heliste, Hazel Williams, Shirley Rule, Irene Willier and Marian Basal.
She is survived by: her sons, Paul LaForest of Detroit, Robert Johnson (Marlene) of Henderson, NV, Bruce Johnson of Negaunee and Donald Johnson (Julie) of Ishpeming; her grandchildren, Regina Grube (Ed), Michael LaForest, Jaclyn Bennet (Mike) and Ryan Johnson (Connie); and her sister Nancy Asaikainen. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
