He is survived by: his children, Caroline Cole (Roger) of Stanwood, MI, Alan Champion (Susan) of National Mine, David Champion (Lois Kipling) of Ishpeming and William Champion (Jody); his grandchildren, Matthew, Samuel Champion, Kaitlyn Keto, Jason Collins (Jennifer), Brianna Cole, Elaina Cole, Thomas and Chad Champion; his great grandchildren, Landen, Aiden, Ethan and Addelyn; and his brothers, Ronald Champion of Iron Mountain, MI and Roy Champion of Maryland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and his canine companion.
