He is survived by: his wife Cathie of National City, MI; his children, Lori Compton of Massachusetts, Mari Engelhardt (Erik) of Massachusetts and Wayne Compton of Massachusetts; his stepdaughters, Sarah Carpenter of Chicago, IL, Melanie Carpenter of Oxford, MI and Debra Carpenter of Oxford, MI.; his brother Duane Compton (Laurel); and his grandchildren, Allie, Natasha, Ethan, Ryan, Jack, Charlotte, Elizabeth, Graham and Marshall. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
