We bid farewell to Saundra Ida Thompson of Battle Creek, Michigan, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 14, 2025 at the age of 85. Saundra touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rebekah Stamm (Wilkinson) and Forrest Stamm; and her siblings, Mickey Vaughn, Gloria Scott, Greta Kitchen, Duane and Dwight Stamm.
She is survived by: her children, Jeri Mater (James), Sonya Schilz (Stephen) and Mitchell R. Thompson; and her grandchildren, Sarah VanDenburg (Derek), Michael Mater (Heidi), Samantha Curtis (Matt), Matthew Schilz and Benjamin Schilz (Kaitlyn). She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Pleasantview Family Church (2601 Lacey Rd, Dowling, MI 49050). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Animal Shelter of your choice.
