He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Furlong and Mabel Furlong (Gray); his wife Caroline; his son Johnny; his siblings, Kenneth, Danny and Mabel Wilson; his siblings-in-law, Judy, Irene, Mary Lou, Neil and Glen; his daughter-in-law Edie; and his great great grandchild William Joseph.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard Furlong II (Cindy) and Franklin Furlong (Jenny); his brother Russell Furlong; his daughter-in-law Shirley Furlong; his sister-in-law Sandie Furlong; and his grandchildren, Christina, Michelle, Cindy (Rick), Priscilla (Todd), Richie (Missy), Tabatha (Jerry), Carol (Keith), Barbie, Frankie (Bunnie), Eddy, Sharon and Laura. He is also survived by 29 Great grandchildren and 17 Great Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
