It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Jo Oakes (Nashville, Michigan), born in Flint, Michigan, who passed away on December 15, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James Oakes; and her stepfather Seth Lloyd. She is survived by: her children, Julie Sumbera (Dennis) of Owosso, MI, Jeffrey Lanford (Pamela) of Summerville, SC and John Hibbs (Katherine) of Bellevue, MI; and her siblings, Kathleen Barr of Lansing, MI and Seth Lloyd (Theresa) of Gross Pointe, MI. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
