It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James N Van Remortel (Nahma, Michigan), born in Escanaba, Michigan, who passed away on March 3, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carl Remortel and Eva Van Remortel (LaMarbe); his wife Jeanne Johnson; his children, Randy Van Remortel (Laurie) of Isabella, MI, Lonny Van Remortel (Donna) of St. Clair Shores, MI and Renee Chandler (John) of Cooks, MI; his siblings, Dale Van (Barbara) and Carol Van Remortel of Owasso, MI; his grandchildren, Eric, Amy, Adam, Elise, Leanne, Randi, Jamie and Nathan; his son Jimmer; and his brother Wayne Van Remortel. He was also cherished by eight great-grandchildren.
