It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Zona R. Pfenning (Muskegon, Michigan), born in Hastings, Michigan, who passed away on April 24, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hiram Flater and Charlotte Flater; her brothers, Phil and Ted Flater; and her mother-in-law Margaret Walker.
She is survived by: her husband Fred, Sr.; her children, Cindi Lawson (Lyle) of Muskegon and Fred Jr. Pfenning (Samantha) of Rothbury; her grandchildren, Maddox and Maddyson; her siblings, Lois Flater of Manistee, James Flater (Judi) of Holland and Roger Flater of Muskegon; and her brother-in-law John Pfenning of Muskegon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; 4 grand puppies.
