She was predeceased by: her parents, Morgan Farr and Pearl Ross; and her husband William Hartman (Shorty). She is survived by: her children, Kevin Hartman (Peggy), Mark Hartman (Joni), Holly Garvey (Marsha Wagner) and Glen Hartman; her grandsons, Kevin, Eric and Brent Hartman (Kendell); her children, Spencer Hartman (Karla), Angela, Nicole Pike, Journee Walsh, Hannah, Maxwell and Gabriel Hartman; her nieces, Violet Dado and April Schaefer; her neighbor Suzanne Adams; her son Bruce Hartman; her granddaughter Danielle Hartman; her son-in-law L. Roger Garvey; and her stepfather Bill Dandy.

Memorial contributions can be made in Violet's name to the Egelston Fire Department or Harbor Hospice of Muskegon.
