It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Valarie Potts (Muskegon, Michigan), who passed away on October 26, 2020, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sip Vickers and Vernon C. Roberts (Roberts); her siblings, Willie James Roberts, Bobbie Jean Barlow, Mary Joyce Grisham, Gloria Carter and Mollie Ann Roberts; and her granddaughter Deashanae Moore.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Potts of Muskegon, MI; her son Willie Roberts of Muskegon, MI; her grandchildren, Mytaya Roberts and Indya Roberts of Muskegon, MI; her siblings, Francis Jean Whitfield of Muskegon, MI, Mary Ann Thornton of Muskegon, MI, Thelma Mae Longmire of Muskegon, MI, Anthony Brown of Muskegon, MI and Elizabeth Thomas of Detroit, MI; her brother-in-law Ernest Grisham of Muskegon, MI; and her close friend Marie McGuffey. She is also survived by cousins, relatives and friends.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral home is allowed 80 guests in the building at a time.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Mytaya and Indeya Roberts College Fund.
