He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford "Red" and Jessie Rasmussen (Braamse); and his brother Bob Rasmussen. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Rasmussen; his sons, Gary Rasmussen (Betty) and Todd Rasmussen (Sarah); his grandchildren, Melissa Malmgren (Josh Watson), Alyssa Treu (Martin), Amanda Rasmussen, Gabe Rasmussen, Kenny McCarty (Marie) and Jimmy McCarty; his great grandchildren, Haley Rasmussen, Ryden Malmgren, Allie Watson and Emma Watson; and his sister-in-law Norma Rasmussen. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
