She was predeceased by: her parents, Eluterio Mendez and Ofelia Mendez (Amaya); her husband Alfonso; and her brothers, Jose, David and Arturo.
She is survived by: her children, Nicholas A. Medina, Orlanda L. Diaz (Manuel) and Michelle M. Valdez; her grandchildren, Jonathan, Theresa, Anjelica, Joel Jr., Ashleigh, Veronica, Vicente and Samantha; her siblings, Cristina Marinez (Lee Mireles), Diana Estrada, Gloria Ramirez, Juan Mendez (Michelle Tokarczyk) and Patricia Haiker (Scott); and her sister-in-law Evie Mendez. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
