He is survived by: his wife Sabrina; his son Steven Thies Jr. of Muskegon; his grandchildren, Jacie Lee Thies, Jordan Jay Thies and Jared Richard Thies; and his siblings, Janice Thies, Dyana Jones, John Thies, Kristina Casteriato and Teresa Arroyo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
