She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Richards and Lucy Richards; her husband John Trate; her daughter Nancy Bishop; her brother Jack Peck; her daughter-in-law Lois; and her siblings-in-law, Evelyn, Lola and Larry.

She is survived by: her children, William Walsh (Marie Monroe), Robert Walsh and Janice Chanski (David); her grandchildren, Courtney Walsh, Andrew Walsh, Ben Walsh, Linda Nyzio, John Walsh, Matthew Bishop, Joshua Bishop, Julie Bishop, Kristen Chanski, Leah Holcomb, Justin Chanski and Alyssa McAtee; her son-in-law Dan Bishop; and her siblings, Herbert Richards, Phyllis Dengler (Bill) and Jeanne Kitterman. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
