She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Johnson and Willie Mae Johnson (Brown); her husband Glinnie; her grandson Rodriquez Burks; her great grandchild Raelyn Burks; her stepchildren, Jessie Mae Long and Essie Bell Burks; her siblings, Willie Sylvester Johnson and Clara Mae Johnson; and her niece Debra Johnson Harris.
She is survived by: her children, LaShonda Burks, DeQuita Burks, Glinnette Burks, Sheneta Moore, Glennie Burks Jr. (Tiffany), Marcus Burks Sr. and DeMarrieo Burks; her stepchildren, Climmie Fountain (Bobby) and Bobbie Nell Burks; her siblings, Clarence L. Johnson, Thomas L. Johnson (Phyllis) and Charles E. Johnson; and her friends, Caroline Briggs, Francis Garrett and Patricia Flournoy. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.
