He is survived by: his children, Mike Bassett (Gina) of Ohio, Michele Groethe (Bill) of Trout Lake and Steve Bassett (Marianne) of Muskegon; his grandchildren, Jessica Chase (Owen), Jarrett Bassett and Cole Bassett; his great grandchildren, Marina and Brennan; and his pet Sparky Harwell. He is also survived by six grand dogs.
