He was predeceased by: his wife Mary; his grandson Jason Judson; and his siblings, Don Thaler, Dave Thaler, Ora Osborn and Jewel Wieber.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Thaler, Gary Thaler (Mary) of Muskegon, Randy Thaler (Nancy) and Juanita Fowler (Don) of Fruitport; and his siblings, Millie Johnson, Brenda Savidge (Freeman) and Joe Thaler (Lois). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
