He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur and Winifred (VanDyke); his spouse Yola George; and his siblings, Thomas Marine, Anna Jean Fairfield, Doris Lenting and Lucille Hill.

He is survived by: his sons, Robert Marine Jr. (Beth) of Muskegon and Timothy Marine (Kerry) of Muskegon; his grandchildren, Mandy Marine, Lee Marine (Jamie), Kelly Bouwman (Kevin), Derek Marine (Hillary) and Casey Marine; and his stepgranddaughter Amy Brown (Chad). He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren.
