He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmitt, Sr. Kinsey and Janie Kinsey; his siblings, Joyce Cherry, Marsha Sargent, Earnest Lee Kinsey and Donnie "Fly" Lewis; and his grandparents, Louis Kinsey (Littie Ann), Fannie Thomas (Henry) and Marshall Lewis.
He is survived by: his children, Rickey Darrell Kinsey, Ricky Brooks, Destiny Owens (Preston), Ebony Wofford and LaTonya Beene (Melvyn Burch, Sr.); his siblings, Carolyn Bates, Patricia Musgrove, Rodney Clark (Gloria) and Emmitt Kinsey, Jr.; his sister-in-law Daphynne Kinsey; and his close friend Robert Pace. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
