She was predeceased by: her parents, William Pate and Eloise Pate; and her sister Sharon Donoho. She is survived by: her husband John Gawel; her sons, Jeffrey Gawel (Karen), James Gawel (Mindy Roberts) and Joseph Gawel (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Erin Roberts (Hayden), Hannah Townshend (Ryan), Wesley Gawel (Olivia Kane), Avery Gawel and Sean Johnson; and her brother William Pate (Barbara).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish.
