He was predeceased by: his father George V. Schmiedeknecht; and his daughter Cherie Lynn. He is survived by: his daughters, Sandra M. Young and Kathy A. Tellier; his grandchildren, Kelly Whipple (Lee), Brent Lankford and Brandon Herrick (Kristin); his great grandchildren, Jared (Katie), Connor, Kassie and Evelyn; his sister Joan Hoffman; his wife Lorena Schmiedeknecht; and his sons-in-law, Gene Young and Ross Tellier. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to First Lutheran Church.
