He is survived by: his husband Deandre Wilson of Muskegon; his son Marcus Cook of Ionia; his stepchildren, Nicholys Smith of Big Rapids and Mackenzie Smith of Big Rapids; his parents, Marilyn Wolters (Staci) of Walkerville and James Wilson of White Cloud; his siblings, Leanne Gutierrez (Paul) of Walkerville, Angela Wilson of White Cloud, Clela Frantz (Carol Winterhalter) of White Cloud, James Wilson (Teresa) of White Cloud, Clifford Wilson (Haylie) of Petoskey, Chris Wilson of White Cloud, Cameron Wilson of Baldwin and Richard Wilson (Stephanie) of Rothbury; and his close friend Skip Harris. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
