He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul I. Garton and Marianne Yarbrough (Engel); his stepfather James Yarbrough; his sisters, Paula Meloche (Howard) and Char Vulgaris (Gus); and his siblings-in-law, Irene Zarimba and James Whittaker.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Zarimba; his children, Gina Sciba (Matthew) and Paul F. Garton; his grandchildren, Gillian (Kellen), Zachary, Joseph, Ellery, Alex, Tyler, Maddison and Aidin; his siblings, Candace Giangacomo (Gene) and David Garton (Elana); his aunt Marilou Bork (Jerry); and his siblings-in-law, Dee Whittaker and Frank Zarimba (Marilyn). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
