He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn McCarty; his parents, Simon McCarty and Irene McCarty; and his brother Willie McCarty. He is survived by: his children, Naturo, Nicolle 'Nikki McCarty of Atlanta, GA and NaShawn Hill (Marcus) of Nashville, TN.; his siblings, Cleotha 'Cleo McCarty and Silvia McCarty; and also Diva'.
