She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Harold Slate and Verna Slate (Hunter); her daughters, Cathy Cherrette (Fred) and Charlotte Bouwhuis (Matthew); her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alicia, Cody, Trevor, Allie, Raquel, Renee, Eric, Parker and Alexia; her brother Robert Slate; her siblings-in-law, Doreen Slate and Doyle Whittum; her friend Judy Carpenter; and her daughter Theresa Carranza. She was also cherished by 17 great-grandchildren.
