Merle Scolnik Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merle Scolnik of Muskegon, Michigan, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 24, 2021 at the age of 77. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Merle Scolnik to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mollie Ruttenberg and Milton Ruttenberg; and her brother-in-law Joe Schwartz. She is survived by: her friends, Mah Jong, Temple and Red Hatters; her husband Bob Scolnik; her children, Amy Murphy (Lance) and Michael Scolnik (Stacey); her grandchildren, Mara Murphy and Ethan Murphy; and her sister Carole Schwartz-Cohen. She is also survived by eight nieces and nephews and many cousins.
Because of the COVID-19 restrictions, a private graveside service will be held at Mona View Cemetery with Rabbi Alan Alpert officiating.
