She was predeceased by: her parents, James Cullen and Helen Cullen (Gates); her spouse Holman Thomas; and her brother James Cullen. She is survived by: her daughters, Andrea Thomas of Muskegon and Mary Ann Gilliam of Ypsilanti; her grandchildren, Antione Gilliam and Danielle Gilliam; her sister-in-law Joyce Cullen; and her niece Ebony Cullen. She is also survived by great grand children.
