He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert H. Blevins and Margaret Blevins (Smith); his wife Ruth Banninga; his close friend Jake; his brothers-in-law, Lance Banninga (Nancy) of Schererville, IN and Brian Banninga (Marcia); his nephew Steve Banninga of Chicago; his niece Brie Alderink (Craig) of North Muskegon; his great-nephews, Cade and Quinn Alderink; and his great-niece Sophie Banninga of Frankfort, IL.
