It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn Jean Verduin Andersen (Muskegon, Michigan), who passed away on January 9, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Roger A. Andersen; and her parents, James Verduin and Verna Verduin (Schultz). She is survived by: her children, Marcia Mahoney (J. Stephen Poor) of Chicago, Elizabeth "Betsy" Andersen (Stephen Pomper) of Washington, D. C. and James Andersen (Lisa Kasabian) of Jamestown; her grandchildren, Daniel O'Mahoney (Samantha), Patrick O'Mahoney, Anna Pomper, Nicholas Pomper, Charles Pomper, Katherine Poor (Benjamin Salk) and Amanda Crosland (Joseph); and her great grandchildren, August, Zula Crosland, Acadia and Margot Salk.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Muskegon Museum of Art, the Hackley Public Library or the First Congregational Church.
