She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Fredericksen and Jeanne Fredericksen (Martin); her brother David Fredericksen; and her brothers-in-law, Wayne Harris and Dan Winsemius.

She is survived by: her husband Richard Ackerman; her children, Roxe Ann Welch (Stephen) and Randall Ackerman (Kathleen); her grandchildren, Madolin (Ryan), Martin (Cara), Michael (Abbey), Ryan (Darcy), Lindsay (Tony), Joshua (Jodi) and Kate (Michael); her great grandchildren, Quentin, Jack, Lily, Louisa and Vada; her siblings, Joanne Hornbeck, Christine Sandy (Ken), Anne Harris, Jeanne Siegel (Rodney), Deborah Winsemius, John Fredericksen (Ellen), Tom Fredericksen (Becky) and Martin Fredericksen (Joan); and her sister-in-law Mary Fredericksen.
