She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Hayward and Chester Hayward of Muskegon, Michigan.; her husband Robert H. Van Riper of Muskegon; her sisters-in-law, Mary Margaret Griffis (Russell) of Fruitport, MI and Janice Smith (Charles) of Walhalla, MI; and her cousin Diane Wilbrandt.
She is survived by: her daughter Lori Ann Van Riper; her grandchildren, Meg Weaver of Chicago and Ben Weaver of Ann Arbor; her brothers, Richard Hayward (Imogene) of Mesa and Floyd Hayward (Wilma) of Fremont, Michigan.; and her cousin Donna Bauman of Manistee. She is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews as well as numerous great nieces and nephews, cousins and second cousins.
