She was predeceased by: her son Mark Visser; her parents, Albert Slater and Ida Slater (Bouwkamp); and her brother Donald Slater. She is survived by: her daughter Joy Proctor (Bryan); her grandchildren, Stephen Proctor (Bethany Lamb), Nicole Krol (Jake), Deb Bonzelaar (Mackenzie), Nathan Proctor (Ashley), Adam Visser and Chris Jennings (Baylee); her in-law Kay Slater; and her siblings-in-law, Joyce Vanderwall, Arthur Visser, Dick Visser and Jean Henion.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crestwood United Methodist Church (1220 Creston St, Muskegon, MI 49442). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Crestwood United Methodist Church Building Fund (1220 Crestwood St., Muskegon, MI 49442) and/or the Black Lake Baptist Foyer Addition Fund (842 E. Pontaluna Rd., Norton Shores, MI 49444).
