He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Brooks and Dorothy Brooks; his brother Jimmie; his brothers-in-law, Alvin Howell and Tyrone Davis; and his niece Shemika Morris.
He is survived by: his siblings, Janie Brooks-Davis, Floyd Brooks Jr. (Patricia) of Muskegon, MI, Linda Howell of Detroit, MI, Katherine Brown of Flint, MI, Andrew Brooks of Decatur, GA, George Brooks (Genita) of Muskegon, MI, Carolyn Alexander (Ray J.), Craig Brooks, Marilyn Brooks of Muskegon, MI and Kevin Brooks (Audrey) of Stone Mountain, GA; his aunts, Linda Brooks, Clara Scott and Pauline Smith; and his uncle Clarence Sims.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fountain Funeral Home (1765 Peck St, Muskegon, MI 49442). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
His contribution to the holiday meals were Hawaiian dinner rolls.
