It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Larry Thomas Hackney of Muskegon, Michigan, who passed away on March 30, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Larry Thomas may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Larry Thomas touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Hackney and Lillian Hackney; his wives, Jean Hackney and Debbie Hackney; his brother Chuck Hackney; and his grandchildren, Cameron Trask, Lanae Trask and Bradley Trask.
He is survived by: his children, Pam Trask, Larry Dean, John Munroe and Michael Munroe. He is also survived by six siblings; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and loving family and friends.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sunrise Memorial Gardens (2188 Remembrance Dr, Muskegon, MI 49442).
