She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin "Roy" Sheaffer and Goldie Sheaffer (Bigelow); her brother Blain Sheaffer; and her sister-in-law Sue Sheaffer. She is survived by: her brother Glenn Sheaffer (Kaye); her grandchildren, Allyssa, Kristin, Abigail, Dakota, Alexces, Kyler, Sahara, Emily, Adalee and Kiersley; and her great grandchildren, Isabella, Kayden and Evelyn. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions in honor of Karen may be made to Harbor Hospice (Poppen Residence).
