He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Kuzniar and Mary Kuzniar (Posobiec); his daughter Ranaé Thompson; and his siblings, Stan Kuzniar (Frieda), Chet Kuzniar (Wilma), Richard Kuzniar (Eleanor), Helen Borgman (John), Stella Allard (Edward), Sophie Schultz (Paul) and Gladys Slezak (Joe).
He is survived by: his wife Theresa Kuzniar; his son Joe Kuzniar Jr. (Carol); his grandchildren, Melissa Kuzniar (Caleb Westbrook), Tiffany Hartung (Luke), Brandon Schultz and Ryan Schultz (Amanda Holm); his great grandchildren, Chyles Schultz and Irenie Hartung; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Fanula Hartung, Yanni Hartung, Mariam Hartung and Sava Hartung; and his sister Louise Redeker (Arnold).
