He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerrit Alderink and Loretta Alderink (Gallagher); his wife Arlene Maynard; and his siblings, MaryEllen Lee, Eugene Alderink, Kathleen Mckissack and Evelyn Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Alderink (Debbie), Sue Tindall (Gary), Jim Alderink (Jean), Shelly Yonker (Mike), Larry Alderink (Kristi), Denise Daves (Tony), Terise Middlecamp (Bruce), Chris Dowker (David Vanderlaan), Joe Alderink, Jr. (Corinne Hallowell) and Mindy Prause (Jon); and his sister Patsy Woodring. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren 26 great grandchildren.
