With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Rop in Muskegon, Michigan, who passed away on July 2, 2023 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his siblings, Fran Soper (Harold), Sandra Cook (Jim), Jack (Evelyn) and Hugh Rop (Joan). He is survived by: his wife Ellen Boomsma; his children, John and Misty Rop, III of Byron Center, MI; his grandchildren, Vanessa, Alex (Kara), Brandon, Addison, Cody, Gabriel, Peter, Isaiah, Daylah and Mark; his sisters, Retha Johnson (Axel) and Julie Ruster; his brothers-in-law, Roger Boomsma (Yvonne), Larry Boomsma, Rev. David Boomsma (Barbro) and Doug Boomsma (Shelli); and also, Ami and Gary "Zeke" Dziekan of Washington, D. C..
