He is survived by: his children, Robert Fletcher, Melvin Fletcher, Major Stewart, Alvin Fletcher, Jessie York Jr. (Diane), Merlean Fletcher, Valerie Hough, Novella Blackshire, Debra Fletcher, Cynthia Fletcher and Rhonda York; and his close friends, John Williams, Robert Lee Dowson, Ralston "Low Boy" Sargent, Paul Thompson, Clayward Smith and Willie Lee Madison. He is also survived by 39 grandchildren and 89 great grandchildren, with a host of dear relatives.
