She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Mish and Margaret Roest; her former husband Louis Kanaar; her husband James Kavanagh; and her brother Robert Mish.

She is survived by: her son Steve Kanaar (Deb); her grandchildren, Nicholas (Rita) and Alexandra (Bryan); and her great grandchildren, Walter, Delvin and Langston.
