He is survived by: his wife Doris Stephens; his children, Nicque, Ernest "Tyrone" Penigar of Muskegon, MI, Johnny Penigar (Tatiana) and Charles Stephens of Muskegon, MI; his sisters, Donna Gregory of Detroit, MI, Alice Frierson (Calvin) of Muskegon Heights, MI, Sharlene Evans (Speregon) of Southfield, MI, Darlene Jones (Clarance) of Muskegon, MI, Joyce Spencer-Mintz (Jerry) of Winston Salem, NC, Anette Massey of Muskegon, MI and Christina Massey of Muskegon, MI; his nephew Tyshon Massey; and his siblings, Merri Spencer (Eddie), Marie Bradford, Tealace Bankhead (Thaddeus), Dorthi Sims, Andrea Bradford, Nicole Bradford, Anita Bradford, Ida Jackson (Alvin) and Willie Bradford Dowdell. He is also survived by children, eight (8) grandchildren, and four (4) great grandchildren.
