He was predeceased by: his parents, Galen Laird and Henrietta Laird (Fortenbacher); his siblings, William, Robert and Mary Margaret; and his stepson Steve.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Schultz; his sons, Jeff Laird (Deb) of Blue Lake and Brian Laird (Patti) of Whitehall; his stepdaughters, Lynn Lindsey and Staci Boike; his grandsons, Kyle Laird, Dustin Laird, Matt Laird (Jenna), Devon Cowles (Matt) and Austin Boike; his sisters-in-law, Marge Laird and Rosemary Laird; and his nephew Bob Laird. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
