It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James J. Dillon (Muskegon, Michigan), who passed away on April 25, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James John Dillon and Margaret (Nee Lenihan); and his brother John Dillon. He is survived by: his siblings, Richard Dillon, Helena McCarren, Maureen Bradley and Marguerite Michalas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, grand nieces, and nephews.

“Jim was a novice monk with me (1969-70) at Saint John's Abbey, Collegeville, Minnesota. I visited him once in San Diego during a brief stay. We renewed acquaintance at the time of my Covid-delayed Golden Jubilee, August 2021. The monks were shocked to hear his name mentioned among deceased Oblates and others we remember at Morning Prayer. May our heavenly Father grant Jim rest and eternal peace.”
