He is survived by: his sons, Jonathan Rowe and James Henry Ransom II; his parents, Jeanette Ransom and Michael Ransom (Scottie); his siblings, Michael G. Ransom (Wilhelmina) and Shelly Alexander (Dennis); his close friend Terri Cowles; his nieces and nephews, Christopher Ransom, Autumn Ransom, Dorothy Easterling, Randall Johnson II, Jennifer Johnson and Alyssa Alexander; his pet Cloe; and also, Kristina, Katie, Colby and Randall. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
