It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Curtis Hammitt (Muskegon, Michigan), who passed away on August 27, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vern Hammitt and Leeta Hammitt (Donn); his brothers, Donn Hammitt and Phil Hammitt; and his siblings-in-law, Patty Hammitt and Andy Ruskanen.
He is survived by: his wife Marlyce Hammitt; his children, Jim Hammitt (Tara), Jeana Hammitt, Mikey Unger and Joana Baldermann (Kevin); his grandchildren, Jordan Hammitt, Tanner Hammitt Tesdahl, Jase Baldermann and Cailyn Baldermann; and his siblings, Sandra Ruskanen, Bob Hammitt, Gail Hammitt, Merne Hammitt and Wayne Hammitt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
For a more lasting memory, donations in James' name can be made to either the American Cancer Society or Laketon Bethel Reformed Church.
